Trailer 1's car meet

GTA VI’s first trailer dedicates one of its most striking shots to a car meet in a parking lot: tuned sports cars, neon underglow and a crowd filming on their phones.

The scene confirms that tuning culture and street gatherings will be part of Vice City’s nightlife, a nod to South Florida’s real car scene.

Rockstar has not said whether these meets will be playable events, so their role in the final game is unconfirmed. On the interpretive map we mark the parking-lot area approximately.

Where it fits

Rockstar has not described this scene with official text, so what follows is confirmed context about the world it takes place in. Vice City arrives, according to Game Informer, “completely rebuilt and expanded”, and the studio talks about a world with density of content in every corner: Aaron Garbut says it is roughly twice the size of GTA V’s map and “significantly more detailed”.

Cars and local culture

Meets and tuning fit the focus of the vehicles entry and the tone of the official profiles: Vice City is a city of show, clubs and local scene, where rich and poor live door to door, as Rupert Humphries put it.

What we don’t know

There is no official confirmation that meets will be a playable event, an optional activity or just atmosphere. The parking lot’s location is not confirmed either. If Rockstar details it, we will add it with its source.
