Rockstar reportedly reminded the GTA VI cast their NDA runs until November 19

Rockstar has reportedly emailed everyone who worked on GTA VI in any performance capacity to remind them of their confidentiality agreement. According to a GTA VI O’Clock source, the message reads: “We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.”

The source believes the email went beyond the lead roles to the entire performance team. Rockstar has not commented on the reported email, so for now it remains an unconfirmed rumor, even if it fits how the studio usually operates.

The email allegedly went out after Stephen Root became the first actor to confirm his role. He did so in an Associated Press interview tied to his Emmy nomination for the series Widow’s Bay: “Yeah, you’re going to see me in there,” he replied when asked about GTA VI, admitting the secret only came out because “too many people knew me from King of the Hill and my voice.” Fans had been pointing at him since trailer 2 (May 2025), where Brian Heder is one of the first characters shown, in a scene with Jason Duval.

If the email is real, it rules out the pre-launch cast reveal many fans were expecting: no trailer introducing the actors behind Jason and Lucia, and no magazine features. It fits the studio’s usual approach: Rockstar has never officially confirmed a single cast member, and almost everything known about the cast has come from resumes, voice matching, and actors slipping up. Manni L. Perez and Dylan Rourke remain the leading fan candidates for Lucia and Jason, though Perez has denied involvement.
