Take-Two sticks to the GTA VI date after a record pre-order quarter
Take-Two closes GTA VI's pre-order opening quarter with $1.39 billion in sales and reaffirms the November 19, 2026 launch.
Take-Two Interactive closed the April to June 2026 quarter, the one in which GTA VI pre-orders opened, with $1.39 billion in net bookings, Variety reported.
The company does not break the figure down by title, but names the Grand Theft Auto series among the quarter’s largest contributors, with pre-orders live since June 25.
In his letter to shareholders, CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed GTA VI’s launch for November 19, 2026 and kept the fiscal 2027 net bookings outlook at $8.0 to $8.2 billion. It is the latest in a string of public commitments to the date from Rockstar’s parent company.
