GTA VI is already in stores: physical cases and first posters appear across Europe, the UK and Japan

Two months before launch, retailers like Currys and Smyths are already displaying GTA VI physical cases for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, featuring Jason and Lucia artwork and the Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus.

The GTA VI marketing machine has reached store shelves. Several retailers across Europe and the UK, including Currys and Smyths, have started displaying the game’s physical cases, and they have been spotted in Japan as well, according to Beebom, based on photos shared by X user Xisweird.

These are pre-release cases: the inside holds no surprises, since GTA VI’s physical edition ships without a disc and packs a download code instead. The interesting part is on the outside. The cases show the official Jason and Lucia artwork, the game’s official synopsis (“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them…”), The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus, and on the PS5 version, the “Plays Best on PS5” mark. What they don’t reveal is the figure many are waiting for: the install size, which Rockstar has yet to confirm.

Meanwhile, RockstarINTEL has documented first-hand the first large-format (A1) posters pasted on the exteriors of British stores. Inside Smyths, A4 paper sheets offer the pre-order at £67.99, slightly below the recommended retail price. The posters carry a provisional PEGI 18 rating ahead of the final one.

The codes inside the boxes can be redeemed from November 12, a week before launch, to preload the game. On November 19, the official release date, stores around the world will wake up with GTA VI in the window. Vice City’s physical takeover has begun, and not just in Miami.
