GTA VI weapons: every one spotted so far
No weapon is official yet, but between the trailers and the screenshots nine are already identified by name: .357 revolver, 9mm pistols, an AR-15, a bolt-action rifle, Lucia's grenade launcher, MP5s in the heist, an M14 hunting rifle and a golf club. The Ammu-Nation ad shows even more.
Rockstar has officially confirmed no weapons for GTA VI - and in fact the series never uses real names: a Beretta M9 is simply “Pistol”. Even so, between the two trailers and the screenshots on the official site, several weapons can be identified by their real-world counterparts. Here is the list.
Identified firearms
Revolver (.357 Magnum): appears in the promotional site screenshots. It will be the go-to sidearm when extra firepower is needed.
9mm pistols: several show up across the trailers. One looks based on the Beretta M9 and another on a SIG Sauer variant; one of them carries the in-game manufacturer brand Capo, visible in a screenshot.
Assault rifle (AR-15): unmissable throughout the trailers and screenshots. An American icon that could hardly be absent from Leonida.
Bolt-action rifle (Remington Model 700): carried by hunters in one screenshot, which fits the wildlife and hunting of the Grassrivers.
Grenade launcher: in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment of the trailer, Lucia blows up several police cars with what looks like a grenade launcher. If the Heat system was already serious, this promises chaos.
SMG (MP5): during the heist scene in trailer 2, Lucia and Jason both wield submachine guns based on the MP5.
Semi-auto rifle (M14): another American classic, seen in the shot of hunters riding an airboat.
Melee
Golf club: Cal Hampton appears with a minigolf club. That doesn’t confirm it works in a fight, but in the series golf clubs have always ended up doubling as weapons.
The Ammu-Nation ad
Beyond the individually identified ones, the Ammu-Nation commercial heard in the trailer shows dozens of firearms at once. Visible among them: a long rifle based on the SIG Sauer 556, an over-under shotgun in the style of the Browning Citori 725, an unmistakable AK-47 and, to close the spot, the host firing a light machine gun with a huge box magazine. Something for every taste.
