Leonida Prison
The penitentiary where we meet Lucia Caminos at the start of trailer 1, before her release and her reunion with Jason.
Leonida Prison is the state penitentiary where Lucia Caminos is serving time when GTA VI’s story begins. Trailer 1 introduces her inside, talking to a case worker, and trailer 2 shows her release.
Its exact location on the map is unconfirmed; on our interactive map we mark it as approximate.
It is the starting point of Lucia’s story: getting out and rebuilding her life, whatever it takes, is what ends up pulling her into the conspiracy that crosses the whole state.
What Rockstar says about Lucia
Lucia’s official profile explains how she got here: her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and fighting for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary. According to the profile, sheer luck got her out. Rockstar now describes her as fresh out of prison and ready to change the odds in her favor.
What we know and what we don’t
It is confirmed that Lucia was in prison and gets out. There is no official information on the prison’s location, size or role in play, or on how long she served. Game Informer’s summary of the state’s six regions does not place the prison in any of them. That is why our map marks it only approximately.
