PEGI, Europe’s age-rating system, published a GTA VI listing on Friday with an 18 rating and a detailed description of its content, then removed it from its site shortly after. VGC and The Brief report it.

What the listing said

According to VGC, the description cited drug use that is “frequent and prominent”, with the player able to take drugs with others and use illegal drugs directly from their inventory. It also mentioned a high degree of gore and strong sexual themes, including nudity, scenes of intercourse and occasional scenes of sexual fetishes.

This is a ratings body describing the content it reviewed, not a Rockstar announcement, and it does not say how those scenes or mechanics are handled in the game.

What we know and what we don’t

PEGI 18 already appeared on store listings and comes days after the ESRB M rating. The new part is the detailed text. Neither PEGI nor Rockstar has explained why it was removed, and no reason is confirmed.

Vicepedia could not see the original listing, which is no longer on PEGI’s site, and relies on the press cited, hence the medio-verificado level. This is an official rating, not a leak of the game.
