GTA VI trailers: the two official videos
GTA VI has two official trailers: the first was released in December 2023 ahead of schedule after a leak, and the second arrived in May 2025 alongside the game's first delay. Both remain the main official source of information.
Grand Theft Auto VI has, so far, two official trailers, and almost everything confirmed about the game comes from them and from the official website that launched with the second one.
Trailer 1 (December 2023)
The first trailer was released on December 5, 2023, a few hours ahead of the scheduled premiere, after the video leaked on social media. It was the first confirmation of the lead couple, Lucia and Jason, of the return to Vice City and of the setting in the state of Leonida. It closed with the first known release window: 2025.
Trailer 2 (May 2025)
The second trailer arrived on May 6, 2025, days after the announcement of the game’s first delay, to May 26, 2026. It expands Jason and Lucia’s story: an easy score gone wrong and a conspiracy spanning the whole state. Its release came with a redesigned official website featuring character and location profiles and dozens of screenshots.
What both confirm together
Between the two videos and the official material released afterwards, the game confirms two playable protagonists, Vice City as the main city, the full state of Leonida (from the Grassrivers to the Leonida Keys), part of the cast (Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, Real Dimez) and a first look at vehicles, wildlife and activities.
